He never wonders about anything nor – except when drawing men out for their own good – does He seek information or ask questions.

God from A to Z

GOD FROM A TO Z
Several years ago, I started a little book entitled “God from A to Z”. I took a small blank Day Timer book and placed a letter of the alphabet of each page. I, then, wrote words that began with that letter and that described an attribute or work of God. At first, I just wrote the words as they came to me. Later I included a Scripture verse where it could be found. I added more words as I found them in my Scripture readings. The result is a book that I have used for worship and prayer. Each day I can take a different letter and reflect on the words, meditating and worshiping God as I read. Also, it has been a blessing in times of despondency or “dull times” when I can't seem to get focused. It has helped turn my thoughts from self and the world about me to God only. This has been especially helpful at night when I have difficulty falling asleep. As I share this exercise, I encourage you to read and reflect as God leads you. If you find words or phrases that I have not included, please feel free comment and share them with me. May you truly be blessed of God as you read and meditate on the words/thoughts and Scriptures.
(My original exercise included the words only; I did not use references. I will add Scripture references as I find them.)
